Designing Identity

Visual identity plays a crucial role in bringing people together, and I had the opportunity to design a meaningful logo for the Bangladeshi student community at the University of Messina.

This project was more than just creating a logo—it was about capturing the essence of their shared experiences, cultural identity, and aspirations.

The challenge was to design something that truly resonated with the community while maintaining a professional and adaptable look. The final logo was used across multiple platforms, from digital branding and official banners to printed materials and even the football team’s jerseys. Seeing the design come to life in different formats reinforced my belief that good design is not just about aesthetics—it’s about impact.

This logo represents the Bangladeshi student community at the University of Messina, capturing their shared journey, culture, and academic aspirations. The graduation cap and scroll symbolize their pursuit of knowledge, while the flags of Bangladesh and Italy reflect their connection between two nations. Every element was thoughtfully designed to ensure the logo embodies their identity, making it a meaningful emblem for their events, activities, and even their football team jersey.

One of the key takeaways from this project was learning how to collaborate with a diverse group, gather requirements, and translate their vision into a compelling visual identity. It strengthened my ability to listen, adapt, and design with purpose—essential skills for any designer working in branding, UI/UX, or product design.

I am always eager to take on projects that allow me to merge creativity with strategy, ensuring that every design decision serves a greater purpose. If you’re looking for a designer who understands both the art and the psychology behind impactful visuals, let’s connect!
