My Journey into the World of Design
I was born and raised in Narsingdi, a district in Bangladesh, where my fascination with technology began at an early age. Ever since I was a child, I was drawn to exploring and learning about tech, even when access to the internet was extremely limited. Back in 2011, when I was just 11 years old, Bangladesh was still stepping into the digital world with 2G internet, making it a real challenge to learn things online. But that didn’t stop me—I was eager to discover, explore, and teach myself whatever I could from the internet.
By the time I completed my 10th grade, I finally got my own computer—not with my own money, of course, but it became my gateway to a whole new world. With broadband internet, I felt like an entire universe had opened up in front of me. I could learn anything I wanted, read anything I wished, and dive deeper into the world of programming, development, and design.
The Beginning of My Tech Journey
In high school, I was introduced to HTML and C programming, but the curriculum only scratched the surface. My passion drove me to go beyond what was taught in school. I started learning Python, JavaScript, PHP, and other programming languages, experimenting with web development, small game development, and automation bots for Telegram.
But my journey didn’t stop at coding—I found myself drawn towards visual design.
How I Got Into Graphic Design
During my high school years, I was introduced to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, which were just starting to gain popularity. One major aspect of crypto promotion was Airdrop marketing, where companies used visual content to advertise their tokens and coins across social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Since I had been comfortable with Adobe software like Photoshop and Illustrator for years, I began creating social media posts, promotional videos, and marketing materials for crypto projects. What started as an interest soon turned into freelance work, where I designed banners, business cards, social media graphics, and brand identities for both online clients and local businesses.
As I honed my skills, I became active on freelance marketplaces like Upwork and Fiverr, where I’ve been offering graphic design services for years. In 2022, I moved to Italy to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis at the University of Messina. Alongside my studies, I work as a Graphic Designer for Trovaweb, a marketing agency, while also designing app interfaces, website UI/UX, and digital experiences.
Blending Data and Design
While pursuing my Data Analysis degree, I discovered a strong connection between data management, backend development, programming, and design. My coursework involves website design, organizing and analyzing data, backend development, and various programming languages—all of which have shaped my perspective as a designer.
Understanding how data is structured, stored, and presented has made me more conscious of how products should be designed for real people. It has also reinforced the importance of Information Architecture (IA)—ensuring that data is represented in the most effective and efficient way for users.
This knowledge has been invaluable in my journey as a UI/UX designer, allowing me to create human-centered products that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional.
A Self-Learner’s Journey
I take pride in being a self-learner. My learning has never been confined to a classroom—I’ve always relied on the internet as my greatest tool. Over the years, I’ve used platforms like LinkedIn Learning and Coursera to complete multiple courses on graphic design, brand identity, and character development.
I’ve also successfully completed Microsoft’s “Fundamentals of UI/UX Design” course, where I gained deep insights into creating truly user-centered designs that enhance digital experiences. This course helped me refine my skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
Looking Ahead
From being a tech-obsessed kid in Bangladesh, to a graphic designer and UI/UX enthusiast in Italy, my journey has been fueled by curiosity, passion, and the constant urge to create. I believe that design is more than just visuals—it’s about storytelling, solving problems, and making an impact.
I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, and creative challenges. Whether it’s branding, UI/UX design, or digital marketing, I’m here to bring ideas to life through design.
